How to Add a Logo to the Header in Squarespace

Your logo is one of the first things visitors notice—so adding it to your header is key for building brand recognition. Fortunately, Squarespace makes it simple to upload and display your logo on every page.

Here’s how to add your logo to the header step-by-step:

1. Enter Edit Site Header Mode

From any page on your site:

  • Hover over the header area until you see a blue outline.

  • Click the Edit Site Header button that appears.

2. Click on “Site Title & Logo”

Once the header panel opens on the left side:

  • Click the Site Title & Logo tab.

  • This is where you can choose to show your business name, logo, or both.

3. Upload Your Logo

Under the Logo section:

  • Click Add a Logo or Replace Logo

  • Upload your image file (usually a transparent PNG works best)

  • Your logo will instantly appear in the header preview

Tip: Use a high-resolution file (at least 200–300px height) for crisp display on all devices.

4. Adjust Logo Size and Position

You can now adjust:

  • Logo size using the slider (if available)

  • Alignment (left, center, or right)

  • Whether to show/hide site title if you only want the logo

5. Save and Preview

Once everything looks the way you want:

  • Click Save in the top-left corner of the screen

  • Visit your homepage and other pages to make sure the logo displays correctly
