How to Add CSS Code to Your Squarespace Page

Want more control over your site’s design? Custom CSS lets you go beyond Squarespace’s built-in design tools so you can fine-tune the look and feel of your website.

Here’s how to add custom CSS in a few easy steps:

1. Open the Custom CSS Panel

From your Squarespace dashboard, go to the Design section in the left-hand menu.
Then click on Custom CSS.
This will open the panel where you can paste your custom styling code.

2. Paste Your CSS Code

In the CSS panel, simply paste your styling rules into the empty text box.
As soon as you add your code, you’ll see the changes appear in the live preview.
You can scroll through your site to see how your custom styles are applied.

3. Apply CSS to a Specific Page (Optional)

If you want your CSS to apply only to a specific page, you can do that using the Page Settings.

Go to the page you want to target, click the gear icon next to the page title, then scroll down to the Advanced section.
There, you’ll find a box labeled Page Header Code Injection where you can add custom CSS just for that page.

4. Save Your Changes

Once you’re happy with how everything looks, click Save at the top of the screen.
It’s always a good idea to check how your site looks on both desktop and mobile to make sure everything displays correctly.
